Top things to do in The Algarve
Located in the southernmost part of Portugal is the beautiful region of the Algarve. It is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Europe. With its beautiful coastline it looks just like a postcard. The soothing wind and warm sun only adds up to the allure.

Faro is the capital of the Algarve and the busiest town. While one part of the city is well developed with its contemporary architecture, the other side of the city tells a different story. And while it was brutally destroyed by an earthquake in 1755, you can still see leafy squares and cobblestone streets around the beautiful landmark cathedral. The Algarve is like heaven for sea food lovers. There are many restaurants lined up right near the beach where you can soak in the beautiful view while enjoying scrumptious local sea food. There are many Michelin-starred restaurants in the area if you are looking to spend a night fine dining.
Go golfing in Vilamoura
With over five championship golf courses, Vilamoura is the perfect place to sharpen your golf skills and if you want to try golfing for the first time, there are many trained professionals to help you out.
Vilamoura also has the biggest marina and is filled with boutique hotels and pricey restaurants. If you are on the lookout for luxury, this is just the place for you.
Take a dip in the sea at Albufeira
Albufeira is the most preferred location in the Algarve by the tourists which is why you will never find its beaches empty all year around. Due to the vast amount of tourists there are a number of great hotels, restaurants and cafes here.
The main reason why this place is so crowded all year round is because its breath taking beaches. These are the best stretches of golden sand you will find in Europe.

Overlooking the banks of Arade River, is the gorgeous town of Portimão. If you are thinking of a hotel in a more urban environment but you still want to be near to the beach, then Portimão is perfect for you. The town also has Portugal’s first artificial reef for you to go diving and if you are feeling more adventurous, you could head over to the spectacular Formula 1 race track.
